If you have a newly renovated kitchen, you may be tempted to fill it with brand new cabinets. However, before you do, it’s important to remember that old cabinets can be restored and look great again. Here are some tips for restoring old kitchen cabinets:
-Use a deglosser or power sander to remove any built-up dirt, dust, or wax.
-Clean the cabinet with a deglosser or power sander again and then use a clean cloth to wipe off any residue.
-If there are any stains on the cabinet, use a cleaner specifically formulated for wood surfaces and apply it with a cloth.
-Apply a coat of sealant to the inside of the cabinet doors and around the edges of the trim. Allow the sealant to dry completely before sealing the joints with wood preservative.
